Alabama Chanin Couching: Chlorophyll

I've stencilled the "Bloomers" pattern in an intense green paint, over grass green fabric. Now I'm couching each shape with jersey pulls (narrow strips that have been pulled into cords). They're stitched down to form the outlines.

A green thought in a green shade.

So clever Anna! I've yet to try sewing in cotton jersey fabric - the stretchiness of it scares me...

It looks really nice - very neatly done. I love green.

Ooh, loooove this... my 7-year-old has been learning some basic hand stitches this past year, couching being her particular favourite. I may have to get her set up with something like this. Looks fun, can't wait to see what it becomes.
